Questions people ask

How do you fill out a hockey score sheet?

Rosters first, then log every goal (time, scorer, assists, type) and every penalty (time, player, infraction, minutes) as it happens. Shots are counted per period, and the period totals, goalie stats and final score are filled in at the end.

How many assists can a hockey goal have?

Up to two. The last two players on the scoring team to touch the puck before the scorer get the assists — but only if no opponent had possession in between.

What do PP, SH and EN mean?

PP is a power-play goal (scored while the other team had a player in the penalty box), SH is a short-handed goal (scored while your own team was a player down), and EN is an empty-net goal (the other team's goalie was pulled).

How long is a minor penalty?

Usually two minutes, with longer penalties (majors, misconducts) for more serious infractions. Exact rules and how penalties end on a power-play goal vary by league, so check yours.
